AT22-2
The AT40-2 is the flagship pick and carry crane in the portfolio, incorporating the latest technology with engineering excellence. With a huge maximum lift capacity of 40 tonne (44 USt), this articulated crane boasts 44% more load moment than the MAC25-5. The 3-axle design eliminates the need for a removable counterweight and the third axle control system raises axle 3 when operating on a work site, providing similar turning circle as the MAC25-5. Maximum road speeds of up to 80km/h allows the operator to move swiftly and safely from job to job. Additional features include a full width isolated cabin, articulating counterweight and increased cabin storage over the MAC25-5 and AT22-2. The flagship AT40-2 receives a power boost with a 230 kW version of the OM936 engine, further solidifying its position as the industry leader in lifting capacity and performance. Efficiency has also been considered with the AT40 receiving new deck panels to facilitate serviceability.
Dynamic LMI (Patent Protected)
First released in 2013, Franna’s patented Dynamic LMI remains as a pillar of safety, underpinning the electronic control and user experience offered today. The system is designed to offer ‘real-time’ calculation of rated capacity taking into account boom configuration, as well as chassis articulation, pitch and roll, enabling continual assessment of structural limitations, forward stability and side stability. Increased resolution of rated capacity is made possible by finer measurement of articulation pitch and roll angles, allowing for improved machine capability compared to previous generation LMI systems. When operated on a jobsite over undulating terrain, the rated capacity will be updated continually, providing instantaneous information on the percentage utilisation of the machine (0-100% of available capacity). When operating on a side slope or undulating terrain, operators are no longer required to manually calculate a reduction of rated capacity; the Franna Dynamic LMI does that.

Mercedes-Benz OM936 Engine: The OM936 boasts a well-established track record, having undergone over a decade of refinement to achieve exceptional reliability. Our dedicated engineering team collaborated closely with Penske Power Systems, the authorised distributor of Mercedes-Benz engines in Australia, to ensure seamless integration of the OM936 into the Franna range. This collaboration included extensive aftermarket treatments, a power increase , and fine tuning of the gearbox to provide a greater driving experience as well as providing optimal performance and efficiency within the demanding environment of pick and carry cranes. Meets current and future ADR Compliance: in addition to the OM936 engine, the cranes have been upgraded to ensure they are compliant with all current and near future ADR compliance, including Headlights, Visibility, Noise level, ABS and Emission standards, along with a suite of Safety standards. Safety Radar as standard: Safety remains an unwavering priority at Franna. The Series upgrade elevates safety standards by incorporating the Franna Safety Radar as a standard feature. This radar system adds an additional layer of protection and awareness for operators. Rear Body Upgrade: The rear body of all the models have been reworked to improve serviceability of the cranes, ABS, battery isolators, and larger capacity batteries have been added as standard, along with the below model-specific enhancements.
MAC25-5
The MAC25-5 is a mobile articulated crane with a maximum lifting capacity of 25 tonne (27 USt). The MAC25 offers maximum safety, excellent roadability, intuitive operation and unmatched versatility. Over the years it’s design has been tried, tested and proven in a range of difficult lifting applications and is still a customer favourite today. A superlift (SL) upgrade is also available on the MAC25-5 as an additional option. The SL kit works in tandem with the existing MAC25-5 counterweight, adding a low slung additional counterweight piece to the rear of the machine, increasing rated capacity of the machine up to 30% in some configurations. The MAC25 receives a model designation upgrade to MAC25-5, reflecting its continuous evolution and improvement. In addition to the above range improvements, the MAC25-5 includes an engine power boost to 210kW, improved boom and steering response, an additional step for the rear body, and the relocation of the isolators to outside of the articulation zone for enhanced safety.
